Mr Stuart Clark AM is a Consultant to Clayton Utz whose practice focuses on the defence of class actions and complex litigation. He also advises in relation to regulatory investigations and inquiries, including Royal Commissions and investigations conducted by the NSW Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) and similar agencies.
He served as President of the Law Council of Australia (LCA) in 2016. He is a former Chair of Large Law Firm Group Ltd (now known as Law Firms Australia Ltd) where he was involved in the establishment of the National Legal Profession Reform. He was a Director of the Legal Aid Commission of NSW from 1992 to 1997.
Mr Clark writes and lectures extensively, both in Australia and overseas, in relation to class actions and complex litigation. His work in this field led to his appointment in 2010 as an Adjunct Professor at Macquarie University Law School.
Mr Clark is a Fellow of both the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Australian Academy of Law.
