Agency Information Guide

The Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (NSW) (GIPA Act) applies to the Legal Services Council and Commissioner for Uniform Legal Services Regulation (Commissioner) by virtue of section 416 of the Legal Profession Uniform Law and clause 5(2) of the Legal Profession Uniform Regulations 2015.  As part of our responsibility under the GIPA Act, we are required to publish an Agency Information Guide.

Our Agency Information Guide outlines:

  • The role and functions of the Legal Services Council and Commissioner
  • The types of information we hold
  • The ways in which we make our information publicly available
  • The ways that members of the public, the legal profession and other agencies can interact with us.
