​Professor Michael Stuckey

Professor Michael Stuckey is the Dean of Victoria University, College of Law and Justice. He was appointed in April 2017. He has had a rich academic career as Head of School and Professor of Law at the University of New England; Head of School of Law at the University of Glamorgan; lecturer at the University of Ulster and at the University of Newcastle; and a tutor and assistant lecturer at Monash University. He previously worked as a solicitor both in commercial practice and as a volunteer with Springvale Legal Service.

In 2019, Professor Stuckey was elected as a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Law. The Fellowship comprises individuals of exceptional distinction in the discipline of law who are committed to the advancement of that discipline and to justice according to law in Australia.

Professor Stuckey has written many journal articles and chapters in books, and has reviewed several books and case notes. He has presented papers and refereed at numerous overseas and Australian conferences, as well as given public lectures and interviews. He has published other material in relation to his professional and academic interests.

Professor Stuckey has served on many University boards and committees throughout his academic career.
