Audit and Risk Committee

The Audit and Risk Committee (ARC) is a Committee of the Legal Services Council (Council) which operates under approved terms of reference (PDF, 167.3 KB). The ARC monitors and reviews the effectiveness and efficiency of the processes of the Legal Services Council and the Commissioner for Uniform Legal Services Regulation. 

The ARC liaises with NSW Department of Communities and Justice, as the host jurisdiction for the Council, in order to provide effective oversight of financial management, budget reporting, and risk management.

The Committee meets three to four times per calendar year to accommodate the legislative and policy compliance timeframes set by the NSW Audit Office and to finalise the end of year financial statements for the approval of the Council.
