The Legal Profession Uniform Law provides a balanced approach to the regulation of legal practitioners and law practices and the protection of consumers.
Costs disclosure can be made using a costs disclosure form where the estimated legal costs are not likely to be more than $3000 before disbursements and GST are added.
The forms are available in user friendly formats:
For law practices (other than barristers) (DOCX, 57.4 KB)
For barristers (briefed directly) (DOCX, 62.3 KB)
A Cost Disclosure information sheet (PDF, 380.9 KB) explains the purpose of the forms.
The LSC will continue to publish information on key issues.
