General Rules

The General Rules provide the operating framework for aspects of the Uniform Law, including requirements about:

  • issue and renewal of practising and registration certificates

  • exceptions to the prohibition on unqualified legal practice

  • management of trust money and trust accounts

  • billing

  • professional indemnity insurance

  • external intervention, and

  • new costs disclosure forms.
